About the Beauty Dialogues
The Beauty Dialogues are a result of my dedication to discover and embody a new of way of 'being'
online... I want to foster a 'feminine' approach to technology
that holds Beauty at the center of all we do: Beauty in the design that creates the 'look and feel' of our online
environments, Beauty in our decisions and listening about how to adapt
& develop technology for our essential needs, and Beauty in the
ways we interact with each other, as respectful and collaborative work
teams and in curious heart-full online conversations.

Amy,
Thanks for discovering me! Now I am getting a chance to discover you . . . You and I seem to be kindred spirits, and neighbors as well (just across the Bay!).
Let's continue this conversation.

this is so right on and wonderful (and NECESSARY!) that you're doing this. YES we need the conversation to center more on Beauty in the world. Your desert photos are beautiful and inspiring (as I contemplate a trip to the desert myself!)... and your photo of "rose jumble" or rose mingling (title?) is breathtaking.
I'll share a brief poem I recently uncovered looking at a box in my closet labelled "inspiration":
called, "Be About Beauty"
be about beauty
as strong as a flower is
yet as soft too
as an open petal
receiving the mist
of a midnight raindrop,
be about beauty
no matter life's dirt
be about beauty
(by Kalamu ya Salaam) printed for the poet's reading September 2000 by fameorshame press.

Hi Amy,
Thanks for the site. My own life is about making beauty and it is the hardest, most decent way I know to sustain all of us. Art is essential to all times.......
Please share this link if you can. I love the feedback.
Thanks,
Laurie

Thanks so much Jill, and Laurie too. It's always such a joy to hear from readers, and to know my own words and images have connected with the two of you in such personal and essential ways means so much.
I love the poem, Jill, and your art is exquisite, Laurie. Its textural and tonal richness is thrilling! Thanks again to each of you for making the effort and reaching out.
